eighth-minute goal but from there on it was all Red Bulls. The hosts had 75%
of the possession and scored three times in 21 minutes as Konrad Laimer, Patrik
Schick and Yussuf Poulsen all scored in the second half.

their safety secured, Augsburg should be able to play free and easy on Saturday

replaced Tomas Koubek as the starting keeper during the restart and has allowed
nine goals in eight games while keeping three clean sheets.

Leipzig had a chance to finish in second place in the Bundesliga but they
fell 2-0 last Saturday at home against Borussia Dortmund. That result, with
both goals scored by Erling Braut Haaland, left the Red Bulls six points behind
BVB for second and one point ahead of Borussia Monchengladbach for third.
Last
Saturday was the final home game for Timo Werner who has agreed to join Chelsea
at the end of the month and he will not remain with Leipzig for the August
Champions League competition. If Werner is in the lineup Saturday at Augsburg, the
24-year old German will have a chance to add to his 76 goals and 37 assists in
126 league matches for Leipzig. This season Werner leads RB with 32 total
goals, 26 in Bundesliga play and they will be hard pressed to replace that
going forward.
Marcel
Sabitzer has 16 total goals while Emil Forberg and Patrik Schick have both
added 10. Christopher Nkunku leads the squad with 13 assists while Poulsen has
10 helpers. The Leipzig defense has been stingy all season with just 50
goals allowed in 44 total games. Hungarian keeper Peter Gulacsi has 13
total clean sheets in 40 starts while picking up 14 wins.
Everything
on paper says that Leipzig dominate this game and end the Bundesliga on a
strong note before they prepare for the Champions League quarterfinals in
August.
Neither team really has anything to play for so team selections will be
interesting. Keep an eye on Werner who may get a chance at a final RBL goal.
