NFL Week 13
By the Numbers
Week 13
turned out to be another good day for the books as a number of favorites fell
in dramatic fashion. That would include the team formerly known as the NFL’s
only unbeaten - the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Here’s a
look at Week 13 by the numbers.

NFC East?
Jokingly
known as the NFC Least, the NFL’s worst division pulled two of the biggest
upsets of the 2020 season in Week 13.
The New
York Giants, the division leader with a 4-7 record heading into Week 13, headed
to Seattle as an 11-point underdog. The result was nothing less than
jaw-dropping.
The Giants
defense shut down Russell Wilson, sacking him five times, and backup QB Colt
McCoy led a New York offense that did just enough to pull off a huge upset.
The Giants
weren’t the only NFC East giant-killer. On Monday, Washington knocked
Pittsburgh from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 23-17 victory. The Football
Team was a 5.5-point road underdog and held the Steelers to just 21 yards
rushing to win their third straight.

Jets Win
Well, not
exactly. The Jets figured out a way to drop their 12th straight game on the
final play against the Raiders on Sunday.
Jets DC
Gregg Williams dialed up the blitz and left his secondary in man coverage.
Raiders QB Derek Carr stepped up in the pocket and had just enough time to find
Henry Ruggs III for a 46-yard touchdown on the game’s final play. Las Vegas won
31-28.
Despite the
Jets loss, one bettor was a winner. He won $240,000 as the Jets covered the
7.5-point spread.
Another
bettor was not so lucky. That bettor had placed a $25 bet on Sept. 8 that the
Jets very first win would be in Week 13. He was oh so close to a $6,250 payout.
Will the Jets be a part of any of this week’s NFL picks?
Winning
Bettors
The bettors
that won in Week 13 did well with Green Bay (-8.5) a 30-16 winner over
Philadelphia, Indianapolis (-3) which beat Houston 26-20, New Orleans (-3) a
21-16 winner over Atlanta, and the Los Angeles Rams (-3) who beat Arizona
38-28.
One bettor
risked $60,000 on the Rams (-3, +100) to cover. The bet paid out
$120,000.
Another
interesting bet was placed on the Patriots in their Week 13 game with the
Chargers. The PointsBet platform allows bettors to place a wager per point on
the point spread.
One bettor
took advantage and bet $50 per point on New England, which was a +1 underdog at
Los Angeles. The Patriots absolutely obliterated the Chargers 45-0, which
allowed the bettor to collect 46 times his stake of $50 for a grand total of
$2,300.

Dogs Still
Lead
While
underdogs only went 5-9 ATS in Week 13, they continue to hold an advantage for
the season. Underdogs are 105-81-2 ATS in 2020 despite being just 63-124-1
straight up.
The Over
still leads as well though the margin has closed. The Over was just 5-8-1 in
Week 13 bringing the season total to 91-90-6. Tennessee is a favorite of Over
bettors with a 9-2-1 mark for the season. In Week 12, the Titans lost to
Cleveland 41-35 and surpassed the Total of 54 in the third quarter.
We just
missed our Jaguars
@ Vikings free pick! We had the OVER at 52, with the
final score ending at 51.
