Super
Bowl Futures
There wasn’t much
change in the Super Bowl futures market as a result of
the draft, but a few teams solidified their spots among the favorites.
Buffalo (+650) was
given favorite status right off the bat at top
football sportsbooks after Super Bowl LVI. The Bills used the
draft to strengthen their defense and add some weapons on offense.
Buffalo took Florida
CB Kaiir Elam to pair with Tre-Davious White. The Bills also signed former NFL
Defensive Player of the Year Von Miller to add to what was the NFL’s best
defense last season.
The Bills also got a
solid pass-catching running back in Georgia’s James Cook. It’s just one more
weapon for Bills QB Josh Allen.

McDuffie and DE George Karlaftis.
Green Bay is the one
team whose odds shortened somewhat as a result of the draft. The Packers added

Rookies of the Year - After the
2022 NFL Draft
Six wide receivers
went in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. Not surprisingly, four of the
top six on the board for the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award are
receivers.
Chris Olave, picked
at No. 11 by New Orleans, is the overall favorite at +700. Drake London, the
first receiver taken (No. 8 by Atlanta) is listed at +750. Steelers QB Kenny
Pickett is listed second on the board at +750.
On the defensive
side of the ball, three of the top four favorites to win the DROTY award are
edge rushers. That includes the top two favorites - No. 2 pick Aidan Hutchinson
(+500) and No. 5 pick Kayvon Thibodeaux (+550).

J-E-T-S,
Jets! Jets! Jets!
Most experts believe
the New York Jets had one of the best drafts in recent NFL history. New York
used its first pick on CB Ahmad Gardner, the best cornerback in the draft.
The Jets had a
second first-round pick and took Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson. Who immediately
gives the Jets a deep threat in the passing game.
New York then traded
up into the bottom of the first round to take DE Jermaine Johnson II of Florida
State. He was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year after leading the conference
in sacks with 12.
As a result of the
draft, bettors can find the Jets at +330 to finish third in the AFC East and
+800 to finish second.
